ABOUT ADENIKE

Adenike is an actor-filmmaker hailing from Queens, NY, and a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. You can find her recurring as Special Agent Rowena Kala on Power Book IV: Force (Starz) and as DCFS worker Alanah Mercer on Chicago PD (NBC). Her acting credits also include the award-winning independent films The Morning After and Me Time. Her role in Me Time has garnered her 3 awards & was an official selection for 25 film festivals including Nitehawk Film Fest, Rooftop Films Summer Series & BLACKSTAR Film Festival. Her theater credits include Lincoln Center’s The Rolling Stone, Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Wondrous Strange & The Movement Theatre Company’s Bintou.  


As a filmmaker, she was awarded a generous grant through Made in NY Women's Film, TV & Theatre Fund for the pilot of her webseries, Addy & Addie, in 2019. The pilot of Addie & Addy is now an official selection for NYWIFT’s Online Shorts Festival 2020. In 2021, Adenike was selected as the winner of the 2021 XLerator Fellowship Program for her new web series pilot, The Red Line.
